GANGSTER AL CAPONE'S PERSONAL 1930 ARMORED CADILLAC CIGARETTE LIGHTER SCARFACE !
This lighter was acquired from Paul R. Eakins 1930 V16 Cadillac that was originally owned by Famed Gangster Al Capone.
It is purported to be the actual lighter that was installed next to Al Capone’s rear driver side seat in a protruding ashtray compartment (see photo).
I purchased this item from a gentleman who shared with me the story and how he received the lighter from the previous owner who has since passed away.
This man shared his eyewitness account of the transaction and guaranteed it to be genuine.
Patent Research on the lighter reveals it is from the period and research photos show where it was installed in Al Capone’s vehicle.
It would make an excellent addition to any collection!
