    Description

    Clear and clean 1/6th plate tintype image (approx. 3" by 2.5") in half case.
    Image depicts young soldier in great coat / cap, striped pants, kepi and wearing white gloves.
    I believe he is a USMA cadet about 1862 based on the info from a knowledgeable collector, others have said he is Confederate.
    On Aug-13-21 at 11:21:24 PDT, seller added the following information:
    I have received several messages that lean towards this gent as possibly Confederate, more likely civil war era VMIcadet!
    And doubtful he is West Point based on the style of the keep and the collar.
